Dungeons & Dragons Eye of the Beholder series was one of the most popular PC games of adventure that ever came out. It 'was one of the first really big and started what would the company has a very long series of similar types of games through a series of. But Dungeons & Dragons was the pioneer.
The series was released in three tranches, simply titled Eye of the Beholder, Eye Of The Beholder Eye Of The Beholder II and III. There were sub-titles of each gamebut most people only remember him from their version number. In all fairness, the version number was all I needed was there every game is very different than before.
The Eye of the Beholder was talking about the original game with a very simple and rather crude graphics. E 'come on a floppy disk, which should give you an idea of how easy it was. But despite the old-style graphics, this game was as exciting as it came. At each corner was a new challenge.Puzzles in the game itself was so complex that if you were not an expert on these games, could not pass without the key. Clue book sales were very large for all three games.
The concept was simple EOB. Your group of adventurers was a mission from the king of the land given. She then went on and try to complete the mission without being killed. There were 12 levels of play really long time to get through everything, evenbook with the note. The creatures were many, including skeletons, goblins, and of course the Beholder evil itself, a very dangerous creature. To win the game definitely had to get from him what was not an easy task.
Eye Of The Beholder II was a great improvement over the original. The graphics were a bit 'cleaner and is much more difficult. There was a lot more levels and the final battle itself, against the evil dragon, was even harder than against the viewer. In This game also struggled not only a spectator, but many. Once again, the game idea was a must for this game as the puzzles in the least mind boggling to say the least.
Unfortunately, Eye Of The Beholder III was a step back from number two. Yes, it was even more involved and the last battle was so hard that his hands would go numb trying to get through it, but the game was very disjointed. The things in it did not look very well together and many of the> Brain seemed to put together. In addition, they changed the mechanism of fighting. In an attempt to facilitate, has simply not interesting. The game itself was not really true heart to it. Strangely, it was the least popular of the series after the number three in the Beholder series was made.
Despite its disappointing end, this series was still one of the most popular early adventure games of all time, even to this day.
